The transformation of Harlow town centre
Strawberry Star Homes are bringing forward major regeneration plans that will transform Harlow town centre.
The comprehensive plans, which will improve on previously approved proposals for the site between Market Square, Broad Walk, West Gate and the Harvey Centre, will see the delivery of hundreds of new homes, modernised retail and commercial units and more, significantly enhanced landscaped public realm in Harlow’s town centre.
The development will deliver a major boost to the local economy and jobs through investment in the site of in the region of £250-300 million, and the massive increase in footfall in the town centre through the introduction of housing that will support the growth of existing town centre business and help attract new ones.
We intend to submit a Masterplan application to Harlow District Council for the redevelopment of the site by the end of 2020. Before we submit, we are consulting the local community on our emerging plans so that they are shaped by local residents and businesses where appropriate.
